Jacaranda Rising is designed to support transition-age young adults (ages 18–24) in Los Angeles County who are aging out of foster care or experiencing homelessness. In partnership with trusted transitional housing providers—including The Village Family Services and Optimist Youth Homes and Family Services—we deliver targeted, relationship-centered services that address the practical, educational, and emotional needs of youth navigating the path to independence.
Our core services include on-site life and job skills workshops covering topics such as resume building, interview preparation, financial literacy, credit building, apartment searching and application navigation, stress management, and healthy eating on a budget. In addition, we provide a mentorship program that pairs young adults with trained adult mentors who offer consistent guidance, encouragement, and accountability. Through this combination of skills training and supportive relationships, Jacaranda Rising equips young adults with the tools and confidence needed to achieve long-term stability and self-sufficiency.
